Free sewing patterns, indexed properly
Roundup posts tell you a pattern is free. They rarely tell you the size range stops at a 22, that you have to join a mailing list to get the PDF, or that there is no A0 file. We record those things, and we put a date on every check.
More categories are on the way. A category only goes up once every entry in it has been opened and checked by hand.
What we record for every pattern
- Size range — the actual numbers, not “multiple sizes”.
- Email required? — whether the download is a direct link, or sits behind a signup or a checkout.
- Knit or woven — the single most common reason a finished garment does not fit.
- Skill level — as stated by the designer, or marked as not stated.
- A0, copy shop and projector files — whether you can skip taping 40 sheets together.
- Last checked, and whether it is still free — patterns go paid, and pages go 404.
What we do not do
We do not host anyone's pattern files or photos. Free to download is not the same as free to redistribute, and re-hosting would take traffic away from the designers who made these in the first place. Every link sends you to their page.
